Steelers Re-sign Miles Killebrew

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed safety Miles Killebrew to a two-year deal worth $4 million.
Killebrew is a former fourth round selection of the Detroit Lions in 2016. During his five seasons with the Lions, he recorded two interceptions, but was primarily used on special teams.
Looking to add depth on their special teams unit, the Steelers agreed to terms with Killebrew last offseason on a one-year contract.
Killebrew made an instant impact for his new team, as he blocked a punt in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, which led to a touchdown, and proved to be the pivotal play in that game. He performed the feat again versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. While it may not be the most glamorous move, bringing back Killebrew into the Steelers’ special teams fold is significant.
