Diontae Johnson Expects to Play Week 7 vs Rams

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson met with members of the Steelers’ media on Tuesday, and when asked if he would be ready to come back Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams, following the team’s bye week, Johnson responded with, “hell yeah”.
Johnson has been out of action since Week 1, when he sustained a hamstring injury versus the San Francisco 49ers.
The injury occurred during the third quarter of that game, after Johnson tried to make a cut move to pick up a first down.
On September 18th, the Steelers placed Johnson on injured reserve, which means he would be out a minimum of four games.
Johnson is eligible to come off the IR during Pittsburgh’s bye this week. How much he’ll actually practice this weeks remains to be seen, but given the extra week of rest, he should be a full-go - leading up to the Steelers matchup with the Rams.
